It's Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish Calendar. It's the day of atonement.
Tonight I'm watching services streaming live from Temple Sholom in Broomall. How wonderful to make services accessible to everyone. The first few minutes I recorded had a couple of glitches in it but then it was absolutely perfect. The audio was like you were right there.
Congratulations to this congregation for being so forward thinking and inclusive.

Down here in VA, our synagogue did the same thing. Since Ethan was singing at the early (5pm) "family" Kol Nidre service, we waited to have dinner afterwards, then we tuned into the late Kol Nidre service via live streaming. The highlight for me was when Ethan decided to pull up a chair in front of the PC and watch Kol Nidre with his feet up, plate and fork in hand, while he was still finishing dinner. He wouldn't let me photograph that...
