Day 318 of Firsts: Poetry Reading

Ink runs from the corners of my mouth
There is no happiness like mine.
I have been eating poetry.
~Mark Strand, "Eating Poetry," Reasons for Moving, 1968

You could do a movie based on the folks who came to read poetry at the Serenity Inspirational Gifts & Coffee in Glenside, Pa.   You just know there is a good story behind each of them.

Once a month they gather to read their latest writings. I was entranced, entertained and moved.

Sharone Gaither (in the yellow) organizes the reading.  You can tell this is about so much more than poetry. It's about life and sharing it.
