Day 340 of Firsts: Driving Miss Lilly

Miss Lilly is a four year old miniature horse belonging to Barbara Vincent. Barbara and Liz Tankel were so sweet to arrange for me to take Miss Lilly on a ride today.  8 year old Fiona O'Rourke was on hand to teach me how to hold the reins.

It was unbelievably cold in Willistown but so beautiful as we went out onto big open fields under a picture perfect sky. It's amazing how far away this horse country seems from the city.

Lilly occasionally broke into a trot that made me hold on to my seat hoping we wouldn't tip over.  I think Lilly and I both needed the exercise and fresh air today.

It was a lovely romp as you'll see in the video.
